This ammo holder is exactly what I was looking for, I needed a way to carry some extra ammo on hunts..... I am not the greatest shot! This meets and exceeds all my expectations for an ammo holder. This little beauty is well made and if I don't lose it in the bush, should last a lifetime. It securely holds my 6.5 creedmore reloads very well without any clanking together or movement. The snap closure is rock solid and the belt loop is heavy duty. At purchase I thought this was a little pricey , but after I received it I realize it is extremity well made. After a successful hunting season I would buy another tomorrow should I lost it!
I have a neoprine stock holder that I've used for years. The last tough hunt I had in November I lost 5 rounds somewhere in the mountains of MT. I forgot I had this bad boy on my pack belt........ Phew!!!!! Shooting a 300 RUM so couldnt load all the rounds in there but 75% was plenty, even for a shot like me=-). 30-06 you could probably load all the rounds.
The Tourbon Folding Cartridge Holder holds 10 rounds of 45/70 neatly and comfortably. Highly recommend this product. I bought this over a stock cartridge holder because I have seen those discolor a stock over time.

very well made. once it is stretched out to your cartridge it will move in and out well. does take some break in period. Update....just used on two week African safari .performed very well ready to use without having to look at it. Easy one handed operation under pressure.
Love it..and better than throwing shells in my pocket.. seems well made and should hold up well.. like that it has a button instead of velcro.
Single stud closure on the flap might be improved with 1 each side but all round very good product. Belt mounting allows for some space between the pouch and belt if you are bending over the pouch.
